Network Reaches Tribal Villages.. Cell Tower Construction Picks Up Pace in ASR District.. Work Begins at 2 Jio Sites!

·

Joint Collector Thirumani Sripooja has directed officials to accelerate construction of sanctioned cell towers meant to bring telecom services to remote tribal areas. She held a video conference Thursday with network company representatives, revenue, and forest department officials to review progress, instructing that work begin immediately at all cleared sites. Of the 6 locations sanctioned for Jio, construction has already started at 2, with work at the remaining 4 expected to begin soon.

The JC issued key directives to officials: submit field inspection reports promptly, ensure local labourers are engaged for tower construction, have tahsildars resolve any land-related issues immediately, and report on any road-access difficulties. Areas like Paderu, Araku, Chintapalli, S. Rayavaram, and Hukumpeta still lack proper telecom coverage, and officials expect these towers to bring 4G/5G connectivity, easing access to digital services, online education, telemedicine, banking, as well as boosting local business and tourism.

The meeting was attended by DRO Lokeswara Rao, RDO Bhujanga Rao, Tahsildar Srinivasa Rao, and several other officials. Once completed, the towers are expected to let tribal students attend online classes and exams, help farmers access market prices, and enable local businesses to process digital payments.
