PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana: Up to ₹15,000 Cash Support for New Workers

·

Under the PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana, the central government provides a direct cash reward of up to ₹15,000 for individuals starting their very first formal job. Any worker who is registered with the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) for the first time and earns a salary of up to ₹1 lakh per month is eligible. The total payment equals one month's basic EPF wage (capped at ₹15,000) and is sent straight into the worker’s Aadhaar-linked bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer.

This money is paid out in two equal installments during the employee's first year of work. The first installment of up to ₹7,500 is credited automatically after the worker finishes six months of continuous service. To receive the second installment of up to ₹7,500, the worker must complete 12 months of employment and successfully finish a free online Financial Literacy Course designed to teach basic budgeting and savings habits.
