Iran Launches Multi-Wave Ballistic Missile Strikes Against US-Linked Base in Jordan

Iran has initiated a nationwide, large-scale ballistic missile barrage targeting United States military installations in Jordan. The launches originated from multiple launch sites and underground missile bases across Iranian provinces, including Tehran, Karaj, East Azerbaijan, Urmia, West Azerbaijan, Zanjan, Shiraz, Lorestan, and Khorramabad.

Initial reports and field footage indicate multiple loud explosions and air defence activations around the Muwaffaq Salti Air Base (also known as the Azraq air base) in eastern Jordan, identified as the primary target. The installation serves as a key regional hub hosting United States Air Force fighter aircraft, refuelling tankers, and military personnel.

The massive wave of launches follows direct United States military strikes against Iranian rocket launch positions on Larak Island near the Strait of Hormuz. While the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated that the operation specifically targeted technical infrastructure, maintenance facilities, and command structures at bases housing American forces, air defence systems across Jordan have been actively engaging and intercepting incoming projectiles.
