Donald Trump Executed Over One Thousand Stock Trades Worth Up to 263 Million Dollars in June According to Government Ethics Filings
A newly released federal financial disclosure published by the US Office of Government Ethics reveals that US President Donald Trump completed more than 1,050 stock market transactions during the month of June alone. According to the filings, the total value of these securities trades ranged between $78.1 million and $263.1 million. Federal ethics rules require officials to report asset values within broad financial ranges rather than exact amounts, with the single largest transaction involving the sale of up to $25 million in Vanguard exchange-traded funds.
The extensive trading volume involved heavy buying and selling across major American corporations, including Berkshire Hathaway, Visa, Mastercard, Meta, Palantir, Coinbase, and Home Depot. In several instances, the portfolio saw multiple purchases and sales of the same stock within a span of days, aligning with broader market movements and international policy events. This rapid pace continues a trend observed throughout his tenure, where thousands of high-value trades were executed within managed portfolios.
This aggressive trading activity stands in stark contrast to standard presidential financial habits and previous administrations. For comparison, former President Joe Biden engaged in just 13 stock trades during his entire four-year presidency, largely keeping his personal wealth tied to fixed deposits, government bonds, and broad mutual funds. The White House has maintained that there is no conflict of interest regarding the transactions, stating that the President's personal investments are held in trusts and managed by independent financial advisors without direct presidential oversight.
